Zonta Club of Hong Kong II is the sixth Zonta Club chartered in Hong Kong by Zonta International. Established in 2002, we belong to District 17, Area 2.

Watch out for the "kitchen"!
Pickleball has taken the world by storm, and there's no better way than combining the latest sports craze with sweating for a good cause.
There was happy hour, coaching sessions, and then an all-out friendly brawl on the courts. This was definitely a new and fun experience that left people wanting another fundraising rematch!

IIt was an incredible evening of sake, sisterhood, and support at our very special ZCHKII x Jebsen Sake Walk Dinner, all in support of the Strive Foundation!
From the inspiring stories of the Strive Gold Team girls, to the amazing sakes and explanations by Rumiko Obata, the 5th Generation Sake Master of Obata Shuzo Manotsuru, to the generosity and energy in the room—every moment was a reminder of the power of community.
A heartfelt thank you to our supportive members, generous guests, Jebsen Wines & Spirits, and the unstoppable Strive girls, chasing NCAA dreams. Proceeds from this dinner will go directly to empowering young women through basketball, education, and bold ambition.

How can local school student-athletes get scholarships to elite boarding schools and NCAA colleges / universities?
We had a great event discussing how being a student-athlete can enhance their chances of studying abroad.
Thank you to William Lo, Co-Founder and Head Basketball Coach of Strive Foundation (and mentor to our Strive Gold team!) and Patrick De Fazio, High School College & Career Counsellor from the Harbour School, for sharing your insights where attendees learned about the admissions process at top schools in the USA, UK, and Australia, and debunked common misconceptions about athletic scholarships.
ZCHKII SUPPORTS SUSTAINABLE FASHION | January 2025 |
Our members joined the Zonta Says NOW campaign by supporting St. James’ Settlement - Green Ladies, a local NGO promoting sustainable fashion and social change.
We assisted in sorting donated clothes to encourage fashion restyling and reuse, reinforcing the importance of sustainable resource use. By giving second-hand clothing a new life, the effort aims to reduce waste and promote environmental responsibility while supporting social enterprises that empower local communities.

ZONTA EMPOWERING VOICES: SAY NO TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN CAMPAIGN with HKFWC | December 2024 |
Joining the Zonta Empowering Voices :Say No to Violence Against Women campaign, we partnered with Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres on 7 December to host a speaker event on the rights of domestic abuse victims and the way forward. Our panel included a representative of the family conflict and sexual violence policy unit of the Hong Kong Police Department, a Barrister specialising in matrimonial matters, an Education Psychologist, and an experienced social worker together with a hotline volunteer. They shared with the audience of 60 on their expertise and ended with an interactive Q&A session.

Yannie Chan, Hong Kong's first woman to receive a full basketball scholarship to play the NCAA Division 1 in the United States, sat down with ZCHKII's President, Angela Wong, for a candid and inspiring conversation. She touched upon important topics such as embracing the importance of mental and physical health, coping with uncertainty and anxiety, overcoming the cultural divide, reflecting on failures, and becoming a role model for the local Hong Kong youth - especially girls - in pursuing a career in sports.
