YANNIE CHAN FROM GOLD'S TEAM WILL BE HAS BEEN AWARDED A PARTIAL SCHLORSHIP TO PLAY BASKETBALL IN AMERICA’S NCAA

She will be the first locally schooled Hong Kong woman to play basketball in the prestigious women’s NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) tournament in the United States, having been awarded a four-year partial academic scholarship to study at Emmanuel College in Boston on the strength of her basketball skills and academic performance. She plans to study sports management, starting in August.  Yannie has been training with Coach William Lo who set up the Gold's team at Strive Fitness, with a primary focus to train young female basketball players in Hong Kong.  Zonta Club of Hong Kong II is one of the sponsors of the Gold's team.

ZCHKII RAISED MORE THAN HK$750K FOR THE 2020-22 BIENNIUM THROUGH OUR CHARTIFY GOLF AND DINNER EVENT

Thanks to all the generous support from donors and the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, we are pleased to announce that more than HK$750,000 total funds were raised through the event.  We were also grateful to have girls from Strive Golds Team and Home Care for Girls joining the dinner and share their experience with the audience.  Each dollar will go entirely towards our beneficiaries and our service projects where we can continue to help the community to improve the wellbeing of youth and women in Hong Kong.
